Returned Missionary Scholarship

A "recently returned missionary" is defined as anyone who has returned from a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints within the last 60 months.
This scholarship is available to both PathwayConnect and online degree-seeking students and is awarded automatically.

Requirements

The tuition discount is available to returning missionaries, including early release and service missionaries, who meet the admissions requirements and:
  • Have returned from a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the last 60 months
  • Pass an English language assessment as part of the application to PathwayConnect
    *
  • Register for courses at least three days before the start of each semester

* Applicants who do not score high enough on the English language placement test to qualify for PathwayConnect, but who have received a rating of intermediate-mid or higher on the English OPIc exam within the last year, may submit their certificate for consideration to BYU-Pathway Support.

Applicants who do not score high enough on either assessment should enroll in EnglishConnect, a low-cost English-language learning program designed to prepare students for BYU-Pathway Worldwide.
