If BYU-Pathway doesn’t offer a degree that fits your needs, consider completing a certificate and/or associate degree through us and then transferring to an institution that seamlessly accepts our credits.

Acceptance Requirements

If a student wishes to pursue an educational path with a partnered university, they must:
  • Be a student living within the United States 1

    Students who live outside of the United States can discuss options with their local Welfare and Self-Reliance Services department.
  • Be willing to pay tuition for the universities to which they apply
  • Meet the acceptance standards of each university to which they apply 2

Transfer Partners

To better serve our students, BYU-Pathway has worked with the following schools to offer seamless transfer options and scholarships.

Online

Arizona State University
Arizona State University serves nearly 100,000 students and offers more than 350 undergraduate degrees.

Program Offerings
  • The Guaranteed Program for Admission: This program allows students to transfer from a BYU-Idaho online degree program to an ASU degree program through course-by-course equivalencies (at least 24 transferable credits required).
  • The Associate of Applied Science to Bachelor of Applied Science Program: Allows students who are currently pursuing an associate of applied science degree from BYU-Idaho to transfer to a bachelor of applied science degree at ASU (at least 60 transferable credits required).
Southern Utah University
Southern Utah University serves more than 13,000 students in 160 degree programs. It offers individualized attention through small class sizes and robust programs that provide students with real life experience and a personalized education.

Program Offerings & Tuition Discount
With the SUU Bachelor of General Studies Online, students are able to earn their degree online through seven-week courses for $79 per credit.

Get up to 15 credits for work and life experience with our PLA (Prior Learning Assessment) class.

Continue or supplement your education at SUU with professional certificates and associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees.

Utah State University
Utah State University serves nearly 28,000 students and provides 159 undergraduate degrees.

Program Offerings
  • The Guaranteed Program for Admission: This program allows students to transfer from a BYU-Idaho online degree program to an USU degree program through course-by-course equivalencies (at least 24 transferable credits required).

Western Governors University
Western Governors University serves more than 120,000 students offering 60+ degree programs in colleges of business, health & nursing, teaching, and I.T.

Tuition Discount
WGU seeks to make tuition more affordable for BYU-Pathway students, who are already accustomed to paying low tuition, by offering a financial gap scholarship.

BYU–Hawaii
Brigham Young University–Hawaii is the preeminent international center of higher learning in the Pacific. BYU-Pathway students may qualify for admission to BYU–Hawaii through the BYU–Hawaii/BYU-Pathway Partnership. BYU–Hawaii will accept transfer credits from BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s PathwayConnect.

Ensign College (Campus)
Ensign College (formerly LDS Business College) serves over 2,200 students on their campus and offers more than 29 one-year certificates and degrees in a variety of fields.

The Ensign College Pathway Scholarship
This scholarship program allows students who complete PathwayConnect to continue their education on Ensign College's campus while they work toward a professional certificate or associate degree.
